Ms Amy Chan Lim Chee is a trailblazer in Hong Kong sports and a celebrated former badminton champion. She dominated the women's singles title for nine consecutive years (1975-1983) and represented Hong Kong on the international stage, winning a bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Exhibition Tournament, a gold medal in mixed doubles and a bronze medal in the team event at the 1990 Commonwealth Games, and third place at the 1988 World Grand Prix Finals.

Following her retirement from competitive sport in 1990, Ms Chan transitioned into sports administration. She joined the Hong Kong Sports Institute, where she rose from Commercial Operations Manager to Athlete Affairs Manager. In 2006, she joined The Hong Kong Jockey Club and has since led the Racing Talent Training Centre and Apprentice Jockeys' School, becoming its first female head. Under her leadership, the institution has nurtured generations of elite jockeys, including Hong Kong champions, international race winners, and a new generation of female apprentice jockeys. She obtained an Executive MBA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms Chan is a dedicated community leader and advocate for sport, youth development, and women's empowerment. She serves as President of the Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association, Chair of THEi's Sport and Recreation Advisory Committee, Vice Chairman of the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund, Deputy Executive Director of Customs YES, and a Member of the Citizens Advisory Committee on Community Relations of ICAC. She also serves on a number of government advisory bodies covering non-communicable diseases, mental health, and healthy school programmes. In recognition of her leadership and community contributions, she was appointed as a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region delegate to the 12th and 13th National Women's Congresses of China in 2018 and 2023 respectively.

Throughout her career, Ms Chan has been committed to nurturing young talent, promoting lifelong learning, and empowering the next generation to excel in sport, leadership, and service to society.
